Surgical robotics is one of the fastest growing sectors in the medical devices space and is taking the market by storm! One of the UK’s most exciting, award-winning surgical robotics companies is looking for a Business Analyst to join their team and develop the systems and processes for external and internal customers.

The company

Our client is a disruptive player in the rapidly growing surgical robotics space. They produce state-of-the art robotics for the minimally invasive surgery space. With a close-knit and family-orientated culture in the business they are passionate about finding people that will fit in with their mission to make the next generation of surgical robot. Their robot will improve patient care and have a huge impact on the healthcare market, from surgeons to patients alike.

The role

As Business Analyst you will work within the Customer Success function and the data team to develop new web services and applications to monitor and analyse the state-of-the-art surgical robotics system. You will be driving forward the company’s vision, looking closely into this to produce high quality, exceptionally clear business requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Translating client strategy into actionable projects
  • Negotiating with and supporting both internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting the growth of the business and shaping scalable solutions to support this
  • Providing support and building relationships within your delivery teams
  • Designing, implementing, and refining business processes
  • Driving continuous improvement processes
  • Assessing off-the-shelf solutions and identifying success rate
  • Analysing and present findings to inform solution design and project approach
  • Assessing the impact of projects on organisational and business processes
  • Mitigating risks and suggesting areas of improvement for projects across the business

The requirements

Our client is looking for someone who is forward-thinking and has experience executing and developing highly innovative software. You’ll ideally have at least 5 years’ experience in a business analyst role.


  • A 2:1 degree in a technical or business discipline
  • Outstanding information gathering and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstratable track record of deploying strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Able to present data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience identifying root causes of problems
  • Knowledge of and experience with mapping complex business processes
  • High level of business intelligence and commercial acumen
  • Experience of working with solution development teams
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Excellent motivation, flexibility, and personal commitment
  • An understanding of collaboration and project tools, such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, MS Teams etc desirable
  • Awareness of cloud-based software, databases, and other technology
