One of the market-leading meditech companies are currently looking for an Associate Director of Reliability Engineering to lead on site transformation strategy.

Our client are a global leading medical device and technologies company who manufacture market innovative medical products focused on therapies for the management of chronic conditions. They work across four markets – advanced chronic and acute wound care, ostomy care, continence and critical care and infusion devices used in the treatment of diabetes and other conditions.

The role

As the Associate Director of Reliability Engineering, you would be an instrumental part of the transformation journey our client is taking in becoming the ‘factory of the future’. This is an integral role within the global leadership function, focused on;


  • Leading the site transformation strategy to become the ‘Factory of the Future’
  • Driving operational excellence across all plant engineering and maintenance functions
  • This is a key operational, technical and people leadership role within the global structure

Your primary objective will be to lead the reliability and maintenance excellence strategy across the manufacturing environment through the automation, maintenance and facilities teams. The key requirement will be on implementing TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and effective asset management systems, whilst also focusing on developing the staff that sit within your remit.

Our client is keen to drive modern manufacturing methods into their operations, with automation being a key criteria for their future.

This role will assume responsibility for supporting direct and indirect reports across;

  • Facilities
  • Automation
  • Shift Leaders
  • TPM Management
  • Stores Management
  • Continuous Improvement


The requirements

The successful candidate will have a strong engineering, technical and leadership background which will ideally include;


  • Degree educated within an engineering or similar discipline
  • Proven strategic leadership; ability to develop and implement structure that sets teams up for success
  • Technology leadership; ability to define and implement new systems such as automation
  • People leadership – experience of engaging and instilling cultural transformation
  • Six Sigma qualifications; minimum Green belt certification
  • Proven experience of delivering operational excellence programs across manufacturing, maintenance and facilities
  • TPM program knowledge – can demonstrate a wide range of successes that have impacted business performance, financials and people development
