Do you have experience in medical device sales? Are you looking for the next step in your career? We are currently supporting an incredibly well-respected, market-leading medical device company that is looking for an Area Business Manager for their London and South East territory.

Our client is a dominant market leader in providing solutions that improve medical discovery, diagnostics and delivery of patient care. Their core focus is on making sure healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical providers and industry partners have the innovative technologies to help advance clinical therapies for patients, clinical process and workflow.
 

The role

As an Area Business Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing territory plans for the London and South East region. You’ll be responsible for selling into both hospitals and community healthcare environments to a variety of stakeholders. The portfolio you’ll be working with is part of their range of innovative interventional products, designed to improve patient care and outcomes.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing territory plans
  • Reviewing and making changes to territory plans in line with business strategy
  • Understanding your territory and customer goals
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships
  • Account management for the territory
  • Delivery of value-add programmes such as training and education
  • Managing product evaluation and trials
  • Working with other business units to maximise potential
  • Achieving results against agreed performance targets
  • Delivering quarterly and annual territory targets

 

The requirements

You will live within and be able to travel across the outlined territory, as well as having over 4 years’ experience in medical device sales. You’ll also be:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Highly motivated to take initiative
  • Experience in an NHS healthcare sales role
  • Comfortable working as part of a team, as well as individually
  • Understanding of the NHS structure
  • Knowledge of procurement STPs and commissioning groups
  • Strong negotiation skills
