The role 

As Airport Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for generating, managing, and executing high impact customer and partner activities while having a strong technical aptitude to identify best-in-class solutions in airports. You’ll help shape and deliver on strategy to address new challenges, build mindshare, and encourage the broad use of technology to all industry stakeholders.  

Within this role you’ll work directly with key public sector decision makers, technology providers, policy makers, trade associations and influential industry consultants. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Developing the account plans and growth strategies within your market 

  • Identifying large project opportunities and facilitate their coordination 

  • Building awareness and thought leadership for digital delivery technologies 

  • Defining clear objectives and key results for each specific strategic account  

  • Identifying and closing high-revenue value deals and convert leads into active customers 

  • Taking end-to-end responsibility for the entire sales cycle  

  • Attending local associate industry events and trade shows 

  • Working with internal teams to develop project proposals, FRI and RFP documentation  

  • Leveraging the Channel Partner ecosystem to further develop the territory  


The requirements 

You’ll have solid Construction and Design Engineering domain expertise. Other requirements include: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or equivalent education  

  • 8+ years of sales consultative experience within the construction space 

  • Experience bidding and winner design and construction projects directly with airport owner operators 

  • High levels of skill within project delivery, and construction management  

  • Enjoy working on complex, long-term strategic innovative opportunities 

  • Experience growing net new pipeline 

  • Able to demonstrate a significant number of contacts and networking  

  • Experience working on large multi-million projects exceeding $500M 

  • Experience selling construction software, BIM/CDE or Digital transformation  

  • Creative and able to think outside of the box 

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) 

  • Flexible and willing to travel across the region >50%
