Do you have a proven track record of selling CAD/CAM/CNC solutions? Our client is looking for an Advanced Manufacturing Technical Sales individual to join their team in the UK. 


The company 

Our client is a specialist engineering software company who supply leading design technology as well as associated consultancy, integration, and professional services. They work in a range of markets, spanning the architecture, engineering, construction, process, and plant industries. A leading reseller in the UK, they have a core focus on technical excellence and helping their clients to enhance their project workflows.  

The role 

As Advanced Manufacturing Technical Sales Executive you will contribute to the sales effort by developing new Advanced Manufacturing business in new and existing customer accounts. You will also be responsible for managing customer relationships to generate new sales leads and provide excellent customer service by responding to all account enquiries.  

Responsibilities include: 

  • Planning and prioritising personal sales activities  

  • Following up on all incoming leads on a timely basis 

  • Tracking progress of all leads within assigned customer group 

  • Achieving set quota of visits and calls to existing and prospective customers 

  • Identifying customers in relation to targeted sales campaigns 

  • Ensuring rapid responses to customer requests 

  • Taking responsibility for own customer base 

  • Supporting the Inside Sales team in meeting customer needs 

  • Being an ambassador for all our client’s product portfolio 


The requirements 

You’ll have experience in selling CAM / CNC and Advanced Manufacturing software solutions, training and consultancy into the manufacturing sector, as well as:

  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline  

  • Experience selling at all levels within businesses both at a technical and commercial level 

  • Proven track record in closing large deals and overachieving on targets 

  • Exposure to the whole sales cycle 

  • Excellent relationship building skills with all levels of stakeholder 

  • Positive, motivated, and driven by finding new business opportunities  

  • Approachable, courteous, and strives to exceed customers’ expectations  

  • Take a wider interest in the teams’ goals and challenges 

  • Demonstrates personal continuous improvement  

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong MS Office Skills (including Excel and Word) 

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Able to travel across the territory (when permitted) and will have access to a vehicle
