The role 

As Account Manager your core focus will be on managing the sales and market development efforts within the business to tackle delivery and growth of our client’s portfolio in North America. You will join an exciting and talented regional sales team who are based across the region to support their efforts in generating new business opportunities in both new and existing accounts. You will develop and drive the strategic growth vision and objectives and build a world-class account management strategy.  

Responsibilities include: 

  • Establish a deep understanding of customer’ business needs 

  • Support regional sales, proposal development and contract negotiation   

  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities 

  • Develop an account management strategy to help formalise a value selling framework   

  • Ensuring rapid responses to sales requests 

  • Building strong relationships and trust with customers  

  • Selling complex software into new and existing accounts 

  • Analysing the market to identify growth opportunities 

  • Expanding prospects within your territory 

  • Ensuring operational excellence for the customer base 

  • Managing high-quality bid winning proposals 


The requirements 

The successful candidate will have at least 4 years’ experience of selling value-based enterprise software solutions.

Other requirements include: 

  • Degree educated in a relevant field 

  • Strong understanding or willingness to work in the asset intensive industry 

  • A commercial background with strong business acumen 

  • Proven track record of overachieving $1m+ targets  

  • Ability to coordinate with stakeholders  

  • Highly technical with strong analytical skills 

  • Analysing data and developing reports from this 

  • A background in closing large deal sizes and driving sales growth 

  • Understanding of the various financial instruments used by customers 

  • Proactive and able to credibly engage with customers 

  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills

  • Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal)
