The role

Due to growth our client is looking for an Account Manager to join their team in the UK. You will join an exciting and talented regional sales team who are based across the UK & Ireland to support their efforts in generating new business opportunities in both new and existing accounts focused specifically on the utilities market. Using your knowledge of Industry 4.0 and industrial software, you will help bring their real-time data products to life and help to educate customers on how the digital transformation revolution could benefit their business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Generating new business opportunities
  • Achieving and exceeding revenue targets
  • Providing account management to existing accounts
  • Selling complex software into new and existing accounts
  • Resolving customer queries
  • Building and executing account and sales plans
  • Designing and delivering sales presentations
  • Identifying business needs of customers

 

The requirements

You will have at least 4 years’ experience selling complex enterprise solutions. Other requirements include:

  • Degree educated in a relevant field
  • A background in closing large deal sizes and driving sales growth
  • Experience in enterprise software sales
  • A self-starter with an appetite for success
  • Experience selling into heavy industry, process, energy, transportation or utilities preferred
  • Proactive and able to credibly engage with customers, including at C-level
  • A desire or experience of working within a progressive culture who takes innovation and software advancement seriously
  • A strong track record in sales meeting monthly and annual sales targets
  • Organised and able to work autonomously
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Able to travel across the UK (when permitted)
