Do you have a proven track record in Ophthalmic Surgical consumables? Our client is a world-renowned provider of surgical and diagnostic equipment for the ophthalmology space and is currently looking for an Account Manager to join their team in Scotland.

The company 

Our client is focused on implementing innovative optical technologies into their specialist range of diagnostic and surgical equipment. This market leader has an impressive reputation for providing healthcare professional with outstanding products use within Neuro, Ophthalmology, ENT, and Spinal clinical disciplines. 
 

The role 

As an Account Manager you’ll have responsibility for a portfolio of surgical ophthalmic consumables and capital equipment, including IOLs and ophthalmic microscopes. You’ll be responsible for all sales activities associated with the portfolio across Scotland.  

Responsibilities include: 

  • Presenting and selling the surgical product portfolio in surgical environments 

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities 

  • Preparing customer presentations, tenders and proposals 

  • Carrying out a defined sales action plan  

  • Forecasting the number of sales  

  • Maintaining excellent customer relationships  

  • Participating in marketing events such as exhibitions and workshops 

  • Maintaining the CRM database  

  • Developing deep product knowledge 

The requirements 

You will live in the Scotland area and will have experience in surgical sales (ideally within ophthalmology) as well as… 

  • Degree in a science or product field (or equivalent) 

  • Strong track record in medical device sales 

  • Working knowledge of theatre and clinical environments 

  • Excellent relationship building skills with all levels of staff 

  • Customer-focused and keen to drive great customer experience 

  • Team focused but able to work independently  

  • Behave in a professional and ethical manner  

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) 

  • Able to travel across the territory
