Do you have experience in medical device sales and are looking for the next step in your career? We’re currently working with a global manufacturer of speciality medical devices who are looking for an Account Manager for their South West region.

Our client is a well-respected medical device company who are passionate about improving patient care and saving lives. They produce innovative, high-quality medical devices and services across a variety of markets in the medical technology space that are used in hospital departments around the world. The role

In the role of Account Manager you’ll be working with customers in multiple clinical settings, including offices, hospitals and emergency medicine environments, to meet their needs and identify business growth opportunities. You’ll be working with a portfolio of capital and consumable products.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing after-sales, service and support to your customer base
  • Developing and maintaining strong, positive customer relationships both with your existing client base and with new business
  • Seeking out new business opportunities
  • Monitoring the territory closely to identify barriers and opportunities
  • Complaints handling – following up appropriately and with the correct procedure
  • Responding to various customer requests, including product and pricing information
  • Liaising with various stakeholders in clinical departments, including doctors and nurses
  • Monitoring competitor activity
  • Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager on targets and activities
  • Attending conferences and exhibitions when required
  • Ensuring strong knowledge of the product range
  • Working with other business units to ensure contracts and quotes are up to date

 

The requirements

You will live within South West of the UK, as well as having the following:

  • University degree (BA preferred)
  • Experience in the medical devices market
  • Strong track record in sales, preferably in medical devices or pharmaceuticals
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written)
  • A results-orientated mindset
  • Ability to travel throughout the region
  • Computer literacy (including Microsoft Office suite)
