Are you experienced in a research microscopy solutions role? Do you want to work with an innovative portfolio of innovative scientific solutions? A key market leader within the life sciences, materials and industrial research space is currently looking for an Account Manager in the North East of England to join their team and grow new business in the territory. 
 

The company 

A market leader, our client is focused on implementing innovative optical technologies into their range of high-value and high-tech capital equipment systems. They are a world-renowned German manufacturer with a reputation for delivering gold-standard technologies. 

 

The role 

As Account Manager RMS you’ll work with customers’ accounts to create, maintain and grow sales revenue within your portfolio of life sciences, materials and industrial research. Your goal is to identify revenue potential, develop sales strategies, manage resources, and track your activities. Your key products are light, electron, x-ray, and ion microscope systems. You will work with the regional sales team, adding value by engaging with other team members to develop customer relationships. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Forming and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders

  • Maintaining understanding of the market including Microscopy solutions 

  • Monthly sales and leads reporting 

  • Maintaining and growing business in the territory

  • Growing the customer base and market presence in line with targets

  • Creating quotations for all products and services  

  • Presenting at tradeshows, exhibitions, and conferences 

  • Improving customer satisfaction through support and training 

  • Support regional sales, proposal development and contract negotiation   

  • Working with the team on large-scale projects

  • Organising regular regional team review meetings 

 

The requirements 

You will have at least 3 years’ experience in a life science or materials research sales role, as well as

  • Degree Educated within a relevant discipline 

  • Experience achieving and exceeding sales targets 

  • Knowledge of the operating room environment 

  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) 

  • Hunter mentality and ability to pursue new business opportunities 

  • Able to build strong relationships with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders 

  • An enthusiastic and can-do attitude, with a drive to succeed 

  • Able to make sales presentations with positive results  

  • Full driving license and ability to travel across the territory (when permitted) 

This is a field-based role and requires the AM to travel across North East England and Ireland (when permitted)
