Do you have experience in medical device sales and are looking for the next step in your career? We’re currently working with a global manufacturer of speciality medical devices who are looking for an Account Manager to join their North East team and represent a portfolio of critical care devices.

Our client is a well-respected medical device company who are passionate about improving patient care and saving lives. They produce innovative, high-quality medical devices and services across a variety of markets in the medical technology space that are used in hospital departments around the world. The role

As an Account Manager you’ll be responsible for a portfolio of critical care and patient monitoring devices, selling these products into clinical environments to achieve sales targets for your region and grow the market share of the company. This role has a core focus on bringing in new business and developing new and existing accounts.


Responsibilities include:

  • Sell a range of critical care products to meet company targets
  • Work with existing accounts and customers
  • Seeking out new business opportunities
  • Developing and maintaining strong, positive customer relationships both with your existing client base and with new business
  • Providing product demonstrations to customers
  • Monitoring your territory to identify both opportunities and barriers
  • Keep records of business dealings up to date and accurate
  • Sales forecasting and reporting
  • Responding to customer requests, including product and pricing information
  • Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager on sales activities


The requirements

You’ll live in the North East of the UK (ideally around Leeds/Newcastle) and will have at least one years’ experience in medical device sales, as well as…

  • Strong track record in medical device sales
  • Exposure to capital medical devices preferred
  • Experience with critical care products and exposure to ICU and theatre environments ideal
  • Degree level educated (preferably in a Business-related subject)
  • Experienced at bringing on new business with a hunter mentality
  • Able to manage your own territory and undertake strategic planning for the region
  • Experience with sales forecasting
  • Strong computer literacy skills (MS Office suite)
  • Experience training customers and demonstrating products
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to draw conclusions from data sets
  • Great communication skills (written and verbal) and a good relationship builder
  • Experienced in customer problem solving
