Our client is currently looking for an outgoing, ambitious, and self-directed Account Manager to join their team in Canada. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business whose technology and business model are modern and future proof.

The role 

As an Account Manager, you will sell our client’s full software portfolio into both new and existing accounts working with some of their largest and most reputable enterprise customers. You’ll build and execute account plans, incorporating fundamental enterprise software sales strategies to increase revenue and solution footprint within your territory. 

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Preparing and executing comprehensive account plans 

  • Assisting the sales team  

  • Utilising resources including marketing, technical support, sales support, and customer success effectively to meet individual sales goals 

  • Developing and maintaining sufficient knowledge of the industries, trends, and issues 

  • Maintaining knowledge and skill levels with our clients’ products 

  • Creating written and verbal sales presentations and aiding the sales team 

  • Resolving key customer problems and mentoring less experienced members of the team 


The requirements 

You’ll have a successful track record of selling complex, high-value software and product agreements, as well as: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical is preferred) 

  • Direct sales experience, including selling to the enterprise level 

  • Experience selling into the Food and Beverage, Discrete or Transportation industries is desirable 

  • A passion for new science and technology

  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) 

  • New business hunter with a drive to open new relationships 

  • Results orientated and customer-focused 

  • Highly self-disciplined and organised 

  • Strong team-working ability  

  • Full driving license and ability to travel across the territory
