Are you an ambitious and strategic sales professional with a background in the power & energy sector? Our client is looking for an Account Executive to join their North American team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading player in the Power Energy space.

The role

As an Account Executive, you will execute sales goals by meeting targets for new client acquisition within the Power Energy market and driving account growth by prospecting and managing a pipeline of opportunities. You’ll utilise a customer focused approach and gain a detailed understanding of customer requirements in order to tailor our client’s services as solutions that meet their business needs, propelling our client ahead of the competitive landscape. 

Other responsibilities include:

  • Managing the day-to-day sales process, coordinating account meetings  

  • Providing regular accurate forecasts 

  • Delivering feedback to management 

  • Selling and negotiating to executive customers 

  • Working as a team leader and member 

  • Maintain a strong knowledge level of the company's solutions and services


The requirements

You’ll have 4+ years’ experience in a new business sales role, with 2+ years’ experience working in SaaS for Energy markets, as well as:

  • Degree educated in a relevant discipline (desirable) 

  • Demonstrable experience of negotiating with C-suite customers in the Power Energy Industry 

  • Track record of exceeding sales quota and conducting successful B2B negotiations 

  • Detailed understanding of Energy market trends

  • Proven ability to manage a territory and deal with large sales cycles 

  • Highly organised and able to confidently undertake multiple projects 

  • Excellent communication, articulation and presentation skills 

  • Confident with use of sales tools (including Salesforce) 

  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment 

  • Results-orientated and works with urgency 

  • Curious with a strong desire to learn 

  • Flexible and willing to travel up to 50%
