Do you have a proven track record of successful software sales in the Pharma or Life Sciences industry? Our client is currently looking for a highly motivated Senior Sales Account Manager to join their team in the United States.

With a strong heritage in the space, they are a globally renowned organisation with customers across the world. Helping their clients to meet their sustainability and operational goals through their software portfolio, they specialise in implementing the latest in artificial intelligence and machine learning.

 

The role

As a Senior Sales Account Manager, your core focus will be developing business in your territory and upselling our client’s consulting services. You’ll look after the full spectrum of account development and management, with positive relationships sitting at the heart of this role. You’ll be a product expert and will be able to communicate your knowledge to customers and prospects to address their individual needs.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Achieving quarterly and annual sales quotas
  • Completing assigned objectives of sales pipeline development and progress
  • Managing the day-to-day sales process, and coordinating account meetings
  • Providing sales and executive management with sales forecasts and usage of SalesForce.com
  • Coordinating and leading multidivisional account teams to achieve customer success
  • Working as a team leader and member
  • Developing C-Level relationships with assigned customers, particularly in the Operations department

 

The requirements

You’ll be a sales professional who is highly motivated, with excellent business acumen and gravitas, as well as:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, ideally in an engineering discipline
  • Track record in successful direct sales of software solutions
  • Documented overachievement of sales quotas over multiple years
  • Extensive experience selling to customers within the Pharmaceutical and/or Life Sciences Industries
  • Experience leading multi-million-dollar sales campaigns
  • Proficient at establishing C-level consultative relationships
  • A self-starter who can work autonomously
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Able to travel 50% of the time
