Job description

Our client is looking for an Account Executive to join their team in the USA. This is an excellent opportunity for an outgoing and commercially-focused graduate keen to progress in their sales career.

Our client is a leading software vendor providing Environmental Health & Safety and Risk Management solutions. They strive to achieve operational excellence to develop a safer, more sustainable, and more productive world. The product can serve a diverse number of sectors, from oil, gas, and petrochemical to discrete manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, government, and many more.

 

The role

As an Account Executive, you will focus on prospecting and qualifying a pipeline of opportunities for our client’s software portfolio to drive business with new and existing customers. You’ll gain a detailed understanding of customer requirements to tailor our client’s services as solutions that meet their business needs, propelling our clients ahead of the competitive landscape.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Analysing the market to identify new business opportunities
  • Developing growth strategies for existing accounts
  • Creating and developing sales plans and schedules
  • Building strong, credible customer relationships
  • Liaising with customers both in-person and in virtual settings
  • Hitting and exceeding sales quota
  • Providing accurate sales forecasts
  • Delivering feedback to management
  • Maintain a strong knowledge level of the company’s solutions and services

 

The requirements

Our client is looking for an ambitious graduate seeking to kick-start their career in sales. A commercial background, including successful experience in selling product sales, would be beneficial but is not crucial to this role. Other requirements include:

  • Degree educated in a relevant discipline
  • Highly organised and able to confidently undertake multiple projects
  • Customer-focused and enjoys building strong relationships with prospects
  • Excellent communication, articulation and presentation skills
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Results-orientated and works with urgency
  • Driven team player who is also able to work autonomously
  • Curious with a strong desire to learn
  • Strong computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Keen to develop personally and professionally
