Do you want to work with truly cutting-edge industrial technologies? Do you have a strong track record in a software sales role? Our client is currently looking for an Account Executive to join their team in Europe, as their business is dynamically growing. 


The company 

Our client is an exciting venture-capital-backed scale-up that operate in the cutting-edge deep tech space. Focused on making the designs of ‘tomorrow’ a reality today, their ultimate aim is to reduce their customer’s time-to-market by applying their AI-powered simulation platform to their designs. The role 

Perfect for someone with a strong track record in a software sales role as an Account Executive you’ll help to scale the business by acting as the key sales point of contact to new and existing customers. Relationships sit at the very heart of this role, so you’ll be focused on being a trusted advisor within our clients’ accounts to drive understanding of the product suite and translate this into opportunities. 

Core responsibilities include: 

  • Managing existing accounts and building strong relationships within these 

  • Building customer understanding of our client’s software solution 

  • Identifying customer needs and providing solutions 

  • Building an in-depth knowledge of customer priorities/challenges 

  • Identifying sales opportunities and pursuing these 

  • Defining and executing end-to-end sales strategies 

  • Acting in a consultative capacity to customers 

  • Working to expand our clients’ product footprint 

  • Gathering market feedback to drive continuous improvement 


The requirements 

Our client is looking for someone with a passion for new technology, who is excited by AI software and engineering. Working as part of a start-up, you’ll have an entrepreneurial, creative approach to projects and challenges and will be comfortable with working in a dynamic environment. This role is perfect for someone with at least 5 years experience in a sales or account management role in the software space, with a strong understanding of numerical simulation software ideal.  

Other requirements include: 

  • At least 5 years experience in a Sales/Account Management role 

  • A proven track record in sales across mid-market accounts with a history of reaching/exceeding sales targets 

  • Experience selling solutions to a variety of customer sizes/types 

  • PLM/TAE software experience 

  • A strong understanding of numerical simulation software 

  • An established network across the aerospace, automotive, maritime and energy sectors 

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) 

  • A strong understanding of manufacturing terminology and processes 

  • Results orientated and keen to succeed
