Are you a competitive individual with a drive to succeed? Do you have a background in SaaS ideally in Energy, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing or other broader markets? Our client is looking for an ambitious Account Director to join their sales team.

Supporting more than 6,000 customers across 50 countries, our client has made a truly global impact on the future of Energy. Their SaaS platform uses leading data and energy analytics to deliver business-critical insights across the entire energy value chain. Since gaining an industry-leading reputation for their oil and gas data solutions, they are now seeking to expand into the oil and gas analytics, trading and risk, and business automation spaces. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic company during a period of rapid growth. 

The role 

As an Account Director, you will bring your hunter mentality to open new relationships with potential clients as well as develop existing relationships in an assigned set of accounts. You’ll be responsible for devising and executing sales strategies to maximise value and meet revenue targets. 

Other responsibilities include:  

  • Hitting and exceeding quota targets 

  • Providing accurate sales forecasts on a quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis 

  • Collaborating with Technical Advisors to present the value proposition and capitalize on new business opportunities 

  • Partnering with Customer Education Managers to identify opportunities for increased ROI 

  • Delivering client feedback to product, marketing, and development teams 

  • Attending trade shows and conferences to grow the customer base and market presence 

  • Maintain a strong knowledge level of the company's solutions and services 


The requirements 

You’ll have 5+ years experience selling software solutions, as well as: 

  • Recent experience selling enterprise SaaS-based solutions preferably in the energy space 

  • Knowledge of and experience with operational procedures, sales processes, and ROE 

  • Demonstrable success achieving and exceeding sales targets  

  • Able to effectively communicate complex information to clients 

  • Familiarity with sales software and prospecting tools (including Salesforce) 

  • Excellent networker and able to build high-level relationships at all levels  

  • Proficient computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office suite)  

  • Innovative and able to resolve challenges 

  • Highly self-disciplined and organised 

  • Strong motivation and personal commitment
