Job description

FMC Smart Industry are working in partnership with one of the most exciting software companies operating in the AEC sectors who support construction professionals to collaborate in real time across the world. Their solution is unique and delivers tangible value to customers in the form of faster project completion with less errors and complete transparency. Their ambitious growth plan across the DACH region means they have already recruited a talented commercial team into a Munich based office and are now seeking an experienced AEC software sales professional to join the team.

The role

You will join the team during a critical phase of their operations as an Account Executive focusing primarily on driving new logo business. Once you have established a new account, you will then be responsible for nurturing and account development to help build a pipeline of new and existing business. Focusing on the whole of the DACH region, you will predominantly be contacting medium to large businesses with the support of their talented internal commercial functions. The business is very much in the start-up phase within the DACH region, so this is a fantastic opportunity to influence the business early on with strategic input based on your AEC industry experience.

The requirements

You will ideally possess a degree (in business, construction, or software) or have the equivalent software sales experience in addition to:

  • 5+ years’ experience in software sales with a demonstrable background hitting monthly and annual targets
  • Ideally experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) sectors although this is not essential
  • You must be a true hunter who is able to seek out commercial opportunities and deliver whilst being a strong communicator, organised, proactive, and determined
  • Confident of working in a start-up environment and knows what it takes to raise product awareness, educate prospects, and build a strong pipeline of new business from scratch
  • Able to commute to the Munich office on occasion but this is not essential for the right candidate
  • Must be fluent in German and English and able to travel regularly when required
