What if you work in a more clinical role?
We’ve seen a continuous rise in the number of clinical professionals progressing into more commercial careers. There’s deeper awareness in the eye care space of the link between clinical applications and commercial success, so Clinical Applications Specialists are becoming increasingly involve in the sales side. They can expect to earn anywhere between £38,000 and £55,000 (with an average of £44,000). Bonus is a little different for these roles, we have seen CAS earn up to £10,000 but some clinical specialists still operate in a purely clinical support role with no commercial aspect, therefore not earning bonus.
