The Plant industry has endured some difficult times over recent years, particularly in the oil and gas markets. Although slowly recovering, many industry professionals believe that investing in the digital revolution will support the future of the industry and its success.
Sales leaders and single contributors are vitally important in this process. Not only do they provide the Plant market with software, but the evolving nature of sales positions means sales individuals also provide education, training, implementation and support with adopting new technology.

Sales leaders – basic sales salaries

It’s unsurprising to see basic salaries ranging up to $250,000 with an average of $171,729. Whilst global vendors typically offer higher salaries, start-ups are increasingly becoming an attractive financial proposition for leading talent within the industry.

Emerging technology demands a greater amount of new business hunters who possess a consultative sales approach. Even with large existing accounts, there are multiple opportunities to source new business.
Our findings represent a 50/50 split majority in both Europe and the US. This reinforces the journey that plant organisations are currently undergoing to increase digitalisation and achieve operational excellence on a global scale.
